Leigh & Andrew’s Wedding | The Farmhouse | Langebaan | West Coast

Leigh and Andrew are one of the most dynamic couples I have ever met and had the privilege of photographing.  They have an incredible zest for life…both loving the ocean and outdoors, and just being really happy….and so completely chilled out on their wedding day.  From the moment I walked into the guest house to photograph Leigh, I knew the day would be amazing…the beautiful soft light, her dress (perfectly tie-dyed), the laughter and energy…

Their ceremony took place on a little beach in Langebaan, several minutes from The Farmhouse Hotel where the reception would be held.  It was super windy….but it made for some incredible shots of Leigh’s flowey dress..  The flowers and decor were incredible…walking into the marquee where it was beautifully laid out, I was so overwhelmed, I didn’t know where to start shooting first.  The speeches were the funniest I’ve heard in a long time….and Leigh & Andrew’s friend Candy had written a poem, which was so hilarious, and at the same time heart-warming, it had everyone in complete stitches.  The first dance opened to the sounds of ‘Ho Hey’ by “The Lumineers’….and then a surprise dance by the newlyweds, bestmen and bridesmaids to “Kaptein Span Die Seile”…all sporting sailor hats.  DJ “Eugene At Rensonance” is now officially my favourite DJ….and I highly recommend them….they had everyone on the dance floor.  Leigh and Andrew, your wedding was so much fun and so unique, I loved everything about it!

Seaside weddings are the best, despite being quite challenging sometimes, you have captured it so well!
